This morning the White House released its blueprint “Renter’s Bill of Rights”, instructing various federal agencies to take action to further five principles.

The “blueprint” approach was chosen over the option of an executive order. NAA and other real estate groups have been very involved over the last many months in dialogue with the White House, arguing against executive action.

Time will tell how this blueprint encourages and empowers federal agencies to further regulate rental housing.

For now, we encourage you to read the blueprint, the opposition we as an industry articulated, and the demands of tenant groups so you understand this important battle.
